On Wednesday, September 6, 2023 Heather Ellen Feil passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. Heather was born in Kitchener on July 21, 1962 to predeceased parents Arthur Feil and Ethel Feil (nee Mackay). She is survived by her former husband, Peter Weber, daughter Janine Ashton (nee Weber), son-in-law Andrew Ashton, granddaughter Hazel Ashton, sister Debra (Kevin), brother Brian (Liz), nieces Megan (Daood), Nicole (Jacob), Rachel, and nephews Robert (Rachana), Richard (Wendy), Cameron (Alicia), and Stephen (Catherine). Heather cared deeply for her clients at Central West Specialized Developmental Services, where she worked for 37 years. She was a loving and doting mother to Janine, who was more of a best friend than anything. When asked about the meaning of life, Heather mentioned that good family & friends are everything. A Celebration of Life closed to friends and family will be held in her honour at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers of Carpenter Hospice for the excellent care that she received, and Dr. Ladha at Joseph Brant Hospital for giving Heather more time.
